Good morning!

Today, Saturday, at 9am we will begin our day of community service and good deeds at Grand Avenue and Perkins St. (close to the lake) grouting over the beautiful mosaics the the Adams Point Action Council and us created on the city trash cans. This will be the last step. They are truly beautiful. I hope this will help inspire us to create a few of them in West Oakland with your help. 

Later at 10am, we will be at St. Andrews Plaza for our weekly clean up. Hot coffee and friends! What culd be better?

This time, Eric and I will continue our tree-well cleaning work. If you would like to help, I will have plenty of hand tools and the trailer filled with water. The new trees need all the love we can give them. Their survival depends in the actions that we take within the next few weeks. A big thanks to our West Oakland Green Initiative friends who helped pant 517 trees last year in West Oakland!

This will keep us busy for a good while. However, if you are like our good pal George you might want to go around picking up trash and illegal dumping. I will bring along plenty of trash bags and gloves. Thank you for being so awesome!
