Position Overview

The Vice President Advanced Analytics is a highly experienced
quantitative market research professional who will oversee all aspects
of THE FIRM’S’ quantitative research design and execution, as well as
work on other key organizational initiatives as required as the Head
of the Advanced Methods Center of Excellence. The VP is responsible
for ensuring that all quantitative research is designed and conducted
in the most efficient and effective manner and that it is done
consistently across all of THE FIRM’S Groups at the highest quality.
In addition, the VP Advanced Analytics, in collaboration with the CEO
and President, is responsible for providing strategic input on
research methods and design, developing product service offerings,
prioritizing resources across multiple pharmaceutical projects, and
being a key participant on significant client pitches and
presentations.

This individual is expected to draw upon pharmaceutical experience and
contacts to help identify, develop and sell The Firm’s products and
services. The VP, Advanced Analytics works effectively with internal
Client Services, Project Management and research teams, along with THE
FIRM’S Group subsidiaries, to ensure smooth and efficient
implementation of projects.

Key Responsibilities
 Member of management team
 Serve as Head of Advanced Methods Center of Excellence
 Serve as the functional expert and key resource on designing
leading edge advanced analytic solutions to both internal and external
clients
 Active participant on development and delivery of client pitches
and presentations as critical member of. staff
 Consult on final reports and deliverables to ensure appropriate
business recommendations and insight provided at highest level
 Ultimately responsible for quality control for all aspects of
quantitative market research conducted by COMPNAY.
 Train and guide Client Services staff to ensure appropriate
knowledge of advanced analytics methodologies
 Keep abreast of developments in methodology and develop “products”
to maximize company’s differentiation in the marketplace
 Responsible for analytic component of research design in proposals
 Develop appropriate experimental designs for choice/conjoint
modeling, estimate and report results from such models
 Provide interpretation of results from advanced/multivariate
analytics
 Presentation of results to external clients
 Train, guide, and mentor Advanced Analytics staff
 Maintains effective internal relationships and participates in
business development efforts with other subsidiaries as required
 Maintains open channels of communication, including voice and
email, during business hours and necessary non-business hours
 Will participate in project work/management, as required by work
volume and staff availability


Experience/Position Requirements

Experience & Knowledge
 Minimum Masters degree or preferably Doctorate level in Marketing
Science/Marketing Research, Economics or Statistics
 Minimum of 15 years experience in market research with a minimum of
8 years of demonstrable successful supplier-side experience including
5 -10 years experience within an Advanced Analytics or equivalent
group (Management Science, Data Modeling etc.)
 Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical markets; client-side
experience in Market Research leadership role a plus
 Proven track record in people management and development
 Established network of contacts with senior pharmaceutical
marketers and market researchers, and a proven track delivering and
managing multi-million dollar revenue numbers

Skills/Attributes
 High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly
Excel, PowerPoint and Word
 Advanced to Expert level abilities in either SAS or SPSS
 Experience with one or more of the following programs is a plus:
Latent Gold, Amos, Hierarchical Bayes module of Sawtooth Software
 Familiarity with recent developments in experimental design methods
for choice modeling is desirable but a lack in this area may be offset
by expertise in other relevant areas
 Familiarity with designing and executing segmentation projects in
the pharmaceutical market place
 Ability to translate clients’ business issues into market research
solutions
 Available to travel 30% of time
