Stimulus is a social development consulting firm offering innovative business solutions and services to the development community. With over a decade of consulting experience under its belt, Team Stimulus is committed to socio-economic sustainability by stimulating the business of development.

 

As a response to the devastation caused by the floods that have hit our country, we have set up www.floods.pk <http://www.floods.pk/>  to help organize all private and public sector initiatives for flood relief. As opposed to duplicating the excellent efforts that so many organizations have taken up; our aim is to bring 'management and measurement' for 'transparency, accountability and sustainability,' in the existing equation. 

 

The website will serve as an online portal where all the relief work by corporations, NGOs, donor agencies, government agencies and education institutions will be consolidated. 

 

As an initial step, we are accumulating and synthesizing basic information pertaining to contributions made to flood relief so far. This data will then be further broken down into: contributions by each sector; donations received by each province; division of monetary and non-monetary contributions; and the amount received by developmental organizations and entities for flood relief efforts.

 

Phase-2 of this project will include an assessment of the nature and scope of rehabilitation and reconstruction work carried out in each province; and the work done by different entities that were recipients of such contributions.

 

This will help us ascertain gaps and leakages at various stages in the entire process and impact of donations extended.

 

You can support us by directing a representative of your organization towards this survey and having the form filled out. The survey is on the website where the results are being compiled online and the information will be up for visual and graphical display as soon as the data pool becomes substantial.
