Elevit is the common medicine recommended by doctors for pregnant women (before and after birth). Please pass this on to as many muslim people as you can. Please read below for reference.

Dear Mr. Manjee,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding Elevit with Iodine.

Elevit with Iodine is not certified Halal. It contains some animal derived ingredients: Vitamin D sourced from sheep’s’ wool, gelatine and lactose sourced from cows and also gelatine sourced from pork.

At Bayer, we have many products in our range. It would be best if you could advise us specifically which products you are interested in so that we could advise you whether there are any presence of beef or pork derived products.

If we could be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us 1800 023 884 (Mon-Fri: 9am-4pm Sydney time)

Best regards,
