Im inventing a new word for such responses:
 
Jib Jab
 
This is a classic Jib Jab (i.e. underhanded Jib sarcasm with many layers of meaning).
 
Feel free to add to the definition.

Haha...listen I felt bad that nobody responded to waj so I responded with the most common opinion in the email group.  It might have seemed sarcastic given my drop out status but I meant well.

i thought he was being serious because he said education (that doesn't necessarily have to mean a bachelors degree)

i wasn't looking for a response, i was just sending the article cuz its "somewhat" what you argue for.  by the way, he's not arguing about education, he's arguing about having the opinion that having an elite degree guarantees success or even security.  (he made no call on med school)

i.e. thiel's "20 under 20 program", no matter what happens, those kids are going to have credentials better than most corporate executives that have been in the industry for years.
