not just Malaysia, they all do it, I think Shaykh Taqi Usmani declared that around 80% are structured incorrectly.

In all seriousness, the length and shape of market corrections is very difficult to call.  A correction's goal is to get as many investors on the wrong side of the market as possible.  This correction has been long and confusing for all but like all corrections it'll end with strong price movement in the opposite direction of the crowd's positioning.  The dow will tank iA.  It's only a matter of time.

Because of the rule of the mob (algorithm systems, large hedge funds, retail automation), I think the norm for the market will now be large drifts, regardless of the direction, in spite of the relative stability of the last few weeks.  so for example lets say the market goes to 9000, maybe the market's direction is actually 0, but the drift is a 1000.  To push it further, I would say that the drift is a function of "market sentiments".

I'm out of the dow long.....it immediately threatens to hit below 10,000....then correct the decline from 12800...to back up to near 11000 (by end if this year).....then tank to below 6500.   The more it follows this road map....the more likely below 6500 becomes.

2 things need to happen for the Dow to drop that low, first, treasury yields need to go up (the bond market loses faith in us credit), second, the cash heavy firms are going to go private or buy up other firms which will usher in a golden period for m&a bankers and lawyers (shot out to rajab)

I think yields may go negative again as short term us treasuries remain the only safe haven.
