Mark My Fest
CARMA is one of the biggest youth festivals of Mumbai organized by the Management society of Thadomal Shahni Engineering College. After the widely acclaimed success of CARMA 2010, this year CARMA 2011 promises to be bigger, better and uniquely ingenious. Spanning across four days from the 17th to the 20th of September, this festival is expected to keep the participants on the qui vive. With a wide assortment of events and competitions on offer, there is something for everyone to reap. This entire management festival is comprised of four mini festivals – Luminescence, Literati, Funatics and Quiztacular -each one being absolutely sui generis.
Luminescence
encompasses an array of management oriented events ranging from
Nation for
Domination – The virtual international trading game to Football
Manager. From
Band-It-Kings – a band event to Stockmania. Revamped that is
aimed to make
students aware of the corporate culture that exists in the world
today and CARMAville
a game that lets participants build their own city finish up the
events in this
category. Luminescence is surly a fest that no aspiring
management guru should
miss out on.
Literati is a festival that brings with it a plethora of event
for those bitten
with the literary bug. Spelling Bee, Sudoku, Talk-a-thon (a
debate),
Spin-a-yarn (story writing) and JAM along with Paparazzi,
Slaps-Tickr ,
Wordzapp, Strip Me(!) and some more. As a part of this endevour
to provide
students with a platform to voice their opinions, a Model United
Nations
Conference is also being organized.
Funatics
is a festival that is set to deliver a whole lot of fun and
mirth. Crick-six
and LAN gaming are set for those how their sporting genes in
place.
Accompanying these are two stupendously popular treasure hunts
that have
managed to cast their charm year after year. One-hour job is an
event that will
get the marketing guys going strong and Flash for Cash is
especially for the
camera fanatics. With Funatics comes a lot of fun something
everyone should get
a taste of.
And finally as a major part of CARMA 2011 is Quiztacular. Being
a national
level quiz it is an event that is about to raise the standards
of quizzing in
Mumbai. Consisting of many atypical rounds and enthralling
questions lined up,
this is a quiz that every layman or geek is bound to enjoy.
What truly sets CARMA apart from the other festivals doing the
rounds is the
purpose behind its organization. Known for being extremely
goal-oriented and
highly distinguished, CARMA 2011 prepares to be propelled as a
path-breaker in
the way students today approach their career. It defies all the
strict norms
that discourage students of a particular stream to wander into
another.
Instead, it encourages every individual to explore all that they
are capable of
achieving. It implores them to amplify their personality and
pursue what really
inspires them. All things considered, CARMA 2011 is a festival
that is about to
stir up some real fun and the crowd swarming in for it will
definitely have a
spectacular time.
