THE COLOR COMPOUND + THE PULP SOCIETY

[Mark My Fest]

The principle objective is to promote the traditional and cultural links in the city by recreating an environment from the 1800s, by reinstating free live bands performances in open areas in late evening hours. It is also an attempt to encourage outdoor gigs in the city, other than those available at priced cultural hubs.

 

It has been the first-ever platform which not only encourages youth to showcase their creative talent to a diverse audience but also has brought the music to people who cannot visit pubs or clubs to watch live performances, free of charge.

The Colour Compound

 

Starting off as an acoustic duo, who wrote songs about experiences that they’d had and shared, soon felt the need to expand their sound and found their way into The Colour Compound. Bradley Tellis played in a band that called themselves 'Thrice 9' and Rohan Mazumdar who was a former member of 'Something Relevant', met in college and played in a band together after which they began writing songs and performing as an acoustic duo called The Hollow Bodies. After playing a bunch shows within Mumbai and a few in other cities they managed to land shows like opening for 'The Scorpions' and playing at the Rolling Stone Magazine launch in India. 

 

The Pulp Society

 

After years of individually playing in other outfits and setups, The Pulp Society has finally come together to add a little skanky funk to the burgeoning indie Indian music scene.
