Scott Makepeace and I visited a field in Lincoln NB over the noon hour today. It was sunny with temperatures in the mid-teens, and there were still respectable numbers of butterflies to be found. We found 5 species in total: Clouded and Orange Sulphurs, American Coppers, a Spring (Fall?) Azure, and a Peck's Skipper. If the 2-week weather forecast holds true, there should still be sulphurs flying into November.
