Hi there- Nice board, looks new!
I wanted to ask a question about Coast Guard regulations on drug
testing and prescription medication. I cannot find information
anywhere, I am just under the assumption that I am not allowed to
drive a ship while under the influence. My employer is not sure and
feels that if it is a valid prescription and I am not impaired that I
can continue to perform my duties.

I want to make sure that I don't lose my Mates license and go to jail
because I didn't have the right information. I know how strict the
coast guard is about alcohol, but nothing I have found talks about
drugs.
Any info would be appreciated!
