Dear MCP community

Version 0.11.0 is about to be released soon. The plan is to deploy this to the MCC MCP test environment on friday. In relation to this, the following message has been sent to all email addresses registered in the testbed:

You are receiving this email because your email is registered in the MCC (Maritime Connectivity platform Consortium) MCP (Maritime Connectivity Platform) testbed, which is operated by KRISO and Frequentis.

I am writing because we are about to make a significant update of the testbed - version 0.11.

This version is significant in two ways;
    1. It will break backwards compatibility. This is due to the MRN structure decided by the MCC and also in order to move from the old maritimecloud.net domain to the new maritimeconnectivity.net domain.
    2. We will enforce european data protection rules (GDPR). This means that no personal information (like personal emails) will be allowed in the MCP. So if you register in the testbed agin - then you must use an email like in...@company.com.
Thus all data in the MCC MCP testbed will be erased during the update and all existing certificates will be revoked!

The new version will soon be deployed on the MCC test environment (the environment used by the developers for continuous testing during development) of the MCC MCP testbed (there are 3 environments; test(/development), staging and “production”). Unless you are directly involved in the MCP development, you are NOT using this (test(/development) environment! You are likely using either the staging or “production” environment. These two environments will not be updated yet - because users will need time to migrate to another MCP instance - like the newly established instance operated by the Navelink consortium. The update of the staging and “production” environments are likely to happen sometime in July or perhaps August.

No more emails will EVER be sent to this email list again! The list will be deleted with the update.

After the update - and deletion the data, you are of course very welcome to apply again for access to the MCC MCP testbed.
