My wife and I saw the attractive adds and promotions for movie "Going the Distance" and went to the theater to see it. Foolishly we didn't check out the rating, which was "R". In the first 15 minutes of the film, which we learned has a world view that is focused below the belt, we saw and heard the sins of sexual immorality, vulgar and filthy sex talk, impurity, wickedness, foolish talking, crude joking, the fruitless works of death and darkness. After that 15 minutes we got up and left realizing the rot would never end.
Should a child of God, God Who is Holy and Truth,a child of God whose body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, should such a child and temple of God voluntarily allow such sin, filth and darkness to enter into his/her temple through his/her eyes and ears, the windows of her/his soul? Would you want a sound track of such filth to be played in your church and fellowship group as part of your fellowship and worship? Would you want to hear such filth and sin through the windows of your church during fellowship and service?
This kind of sinful, vulgar and corrupting behavior and those who behave that way are seen in the following:
***"17 So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the [unbelieving] Nations also walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; 19 and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness." Eph 4
***"5 For know and recognize this: no sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of the Messiah and of God." Eph 5 HCSB
***Rev 21"10 He then carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, 11 arrayed with God's glory. . . .27 Nothing profane will ever enter it: no one who does what is vile or false, but only those written in the Lamb's book of life.
***Rev 22:"15 Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying and falsehood."
***Rev "20:15 And anyone not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire. . . .21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” NKJV
Instead of evil, wickedness entering our minds, we are called to deliberately and purposefully fill our hearts and minds with the following:
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble and honorable, whatever things are just and righteous, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report and commendable, if there is any moral excellence, virtue and worthiness; and if there is anything praiseworthy—think about and meditate on these things. Phil 4 HCSB, ESV, NKJV, YLT
Instead of filthy, vulgar, crude, unedifying speech; instead of sarcasm, put downs, ridicule, mocking and other forms of abusive speech, our calling in Christ is to speak the Truth in Love:
Eph 4"15 But speaking the truth in love, we should grow in every way into Him who is the head —Christ. . . . 25 Since you put away lying, Speak the Truth, each one to his neighbor, . . . 29 No rotten talk should come from your mouth, but only what is good for the building up of someone in need, in order to give grace to those who hear. 31 All bitterness, anger and wrath, insult and slander must be removed from you, along with all wickedness. " Eph 5 "4 And coarse and foolish talking or crude joking are not suitable, but rather giving thanks. " HCSB
Do you realize that when you enjoy, delight in, take pleasure in, pay money to help fund and advance sin, lying, sexual immorality, sinful speech, you place yourself under God's death sentence?
"32 Although they know full well God's just sentence—that those who keep on doing such things deserve to die - are worthy of death —they not only do them, but even approve of and applaud others who are doing them.' Romans 1
Those who reject the Truth and instead of the Truth desire lies, falsehoods and fictions, find themselves under God's wrath and death sentence.
"18 For God's wrath is revealed from heaven against all godlessness and unrighteousness of people who by their unrighteousness suppress the Truth, . . . 21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images/pictures/jpgs resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the evil desires of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the Truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature/people rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. . . . 32 Although they know full well God's just sentence—that those who keep on doing such things deserve to die - are worthy of death —they not only do them, but even approve of and applaud others who are doing them." What are we called by Christ to do about such filth and vulgarity in literature, videos, DVDs, movies, TV shows and mpgs?
6 Let no one deceive you with empty words and arguments, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the disobedient. 7 Therefore do not become partners with them [in these things]; 8 for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of Light 9(for the fruit of Light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10 and discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. Our calling in Christ:
***Eph5:6 No one should deceive you with vain words, for on account of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 DON'T BE CO-PARTICIPANTS [IN] OR FELLOW-PARTAKERS [OF THEIR EVIL] with them; 8 for you were once darkness, but now light in Lord; walk as children of Light, 9 (for the fruit of the Light in all goodness and righteousness and Truth,) 10 proving what is agreeable to the Lord; 11 and do not have fellowship with or participate in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather also REPROVE, CONFUTE, ADMONISH, CONVICT, CONVINCE, REBUKE AND EXPOSE THEM [patiently, gently, humbly and respectfully]. [With 2 Tim 2:22-26; Gal 6:1]
***2 Cor 6: 14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [especially in their evil deeds]. For what partnership [in evil doing] has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship [in evil doing] has light with darkness? 15 What accord [in evil doing] has Christ with Belial? Or what portion [in evil doing] does a believer share with an unbeliever? 16What agreement [in evil doing] has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; . . .7:1 . . . beloved, we should cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit [of ourselves and of unbelievers], bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.

Having been made in Jehovah-God's likeness, we shouldn't think that the divine nature is like gold or silver or stone, or an image fashioned by human art and imagination. Therefore, having overlooked the times of our ignorance, Jehovah now commands all people everywhere to turn to Jehovah-God from their sin, because He has set a day on which He is going to judge all people in righteousness by the Man, Jesus Christ, that He has appointed. He has provided proof of this to everyone by raising Jesus Christ from the dead. Everyone who keeps on believing in and relying on Jesus Christ may have eternal life. For Jehovah-God so compassionately loved all people that He gave His only Son, born of woman, that whoever continues to believe in and rely on Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For Jehovah-God did not send his Son into the world to condemn people, but to save people through Him. Whoever is believing in and relying on Him is not condemned, but anyone who does not keep on relying on Him stands condemned already because of failing to believe and trust in the nature and character of Jehovah-God's only Son, born of woman.
