Just be reminded that Lambert House will be having their Gunu Sede too we can join them later.

Just Feedback on Thursday’s meeting .

3. Opening Prayer : Isimeli Bola
4. Welcome : Saimone Shaw
5. Minutes of the last minute:
1. We continue with our fundraising and await confirmation of the AGM date.
2. Treasurer to submit latest bank statement in the next meeting.
3. We have a fundraiser at least once a month with raffles done in such a way that it is easy to sell .Therefore it was agreed that we do a kati .
4. This will be in the form of 50 blocks per sheet at $1 per block and at least 30 sheets. If we can sell more than we can push the numbers up.
5. There will be 20 draws of 1 #14 chicken per draw.
6. With 30 sheets X 50 blocks x $1 per block we anticipate to make $1,500 if all sheets are sold.
7. The draw date is Friday 25th May 2018 at the Secretariat.
8. Raffle Sheets will be distributed early next week.Please confirm how many sheets you would like to sell by replying to the email.There is only a limited amount but will print more if requested.
9. We thank OB Mr Iowane Naiveli for donating a bag of chicken.
6. Matters Arising from the minutes of the last meeting
- Fundraising date – The tentative date of the AGM 7th July dependant on the finalisation of the Audited Financial Report
- Bazaar Date – in November ,date to be confirmed
- Statement attached as of 12th June 2018.
- Kati Fundraiser was completed and money raised was $1,206 banked (and $206 after the statement date)
7. Treasurers Report
Alfred Peckham will be tabling reports in the next meetings. Also he will be finalising last years accounts and forwarding to all for our perusal.
However the bank statement attached is balance from last year and deposits made this year. We have direct deductions made by 2 Augustine members in this loop of $75 per fortnight.
Statement attached does not include new deposits of $206 for Kati and $100 for Pledge received uptil Thursday (14th June).
It was further agreed that we send out current statements for the month going forward so everyone is kept in the loop.
8. New Matters arising
It was agreed that since most of our members do not have time to sell raffle tickets or for some other reason we should try other forms of fundraising. Other Houses are doing pledges and it was convenient for them.We agreed that we go back to our members and float this way of fundraising and if they were willing than we proceed.The pledge to begin from $100 upwards. This could be paid in instalments of $20 per month or any amount affordable in relation to the sum pledged.
Samu Vuibeqa without hesitation pledged $100 and paid in full.
For those who pledged and paid in full can expect to have a serve of lunch specially prepared by our caterers on the bazaar day for your generosity.It may be small but the thought and significance of your support will be acknowledged in a small way.
For our team bonding we will organise dinners at venues that would cater for at least 100 -150 guests so we can invite our spouses/girlfriends/partners or anyone for that matter. This is so we can come together in a relaxing atmosphere and enjoy the evening with our Augustine Family and raise funds at the same time.

For Augustine Team members who wish to remain anonymous please send me an email separately on the name to show on your pledge and comment to add (please not more than 10 words,I know some can write a thick novel on their Marist spirit experience journey ).

There was another issue that was missed out in the update and that was the change of signatories to the Augustine bank account.Current signatories include – Vili Katia ,Ben Baka , Manoa Makaba and Isimeli Bola.
Vili Katia is away for sometime,Ben Baka is somewhere out there and Isimeli Bola would like to be relieved from signatory duties as he is already on 9 other signatory listing.It could be an Audit issue for him. Our next meeting we need to appoint new signatories or money will be sitting in the account and signatories hard to track down.
Augustine House will have a gunu sede next week at MRC next week 28th June 2018. Watch this space for details!!

Latest update on pledges
Thank you for the pledges and please do keep them coming in and we will update the Pledges table.
There was another issue that was missed out in the update and that was the change of signatories to the Augustine bank account.Current signatories include – Vili Katia ,Ben Baka , Manoa Makaba and Isimeli Bola.
Vili Katia is away for sometime,Ben Baka is somewhere out there and Isimeli Bola would like to be relieved from signatory duties as he is already on 9 other signatory listing.It could be an Audit issue for him. Our next meeting we need to appoint new signatories or money will be sitting in the account and signatories hard to track down.
Augustine House will have a gunu sede next week at MRC next week 28th June 2018. Watch this space for details!!

Just that we ride on this wave of success & togetherness can the team meet on Thursday 6pm-8pm at MRC please? This meeting request goes out to everyone and especially the core team.
Just be reminded that Lambert House will be having their Gunu Sede too we can join them later.

We have just jumped up another notch for our pledge. We have now reached the $3,950 mark.
Isa I recall when we used to have the Stride Out walkathorn and every morning we would check Brother Clement’s or Brother Eugene’s update on the Notice Board on the money thermometer. But everyone knew that what was on the board was just half of the amount that was collected….that rest until today has yet to reach the high school…………hahaha…….isa wini ga o Lucky Eddies.

Wish to thank all those who attended our ‘Gunu Soli” on Thursday evening. Vinaka George for sponsoring the grog .
Those who were there managed to collect $300 in the soli.
We also received Mr Madigibuli’s $150 pledge which was paid in full.
Furthermore our pledge listing moved upto $4,050 . Vinaka Vakalevu Father Le for your kind generosity.
Since we have started to receive the pledge instalment I have added another column for the status of the pledge.
The MOBA AGM has been postponed to a later date however the November date for the Bazaar seems unaffected.
The core committee shall meet again to decide on our next fundraiser towards to end of the month meanwhile keep those pledges and instalments coming in.

We have just jumped up another notch for our pledge. We have now reached the $3,950 mark.
Isa I recall when we used to have the Stride Out walkathorn and every morning we would check Brother Clement’s or Brother Eugene’s update on the Notice Board on the money thermometer. But everyone knew that what was on the board was just half of the amount that was collected….that rest until today has yet to reach the high school…………hahaha…….isa wini ga o Lucky Eddies.

Just a correction to the First Friday Mass it is at 7pm and not 6pm but its good to come early and join the Laucala Bay Parish Old Boys prepare for the liturgy especially the singing.
