Back by popular demand:
The Summer School on AI and Games returns for a third year!
This is the perfect event for:
* Game developers wanting to know what AI methods can do for them
* Students, including PhD students, who want to do research on AI and games
* Researchers and faculty in related fields that want an introduction to this research field
The summer school includes overview lectures and in-depth sessions from Georgios Yannakakis and Julian Togelius, and invited guest talks from experts in the game industry talking about AI challenges and solutions. Our guest speakers include Tom Schaul (DeepMind), Duygu Cakmak (Creative Assembly), Sahar Asadi (King), Oskar Stålberg (Plausible Concept), and Vincent-Pierre Berges (Unity) with more to be announced.
The event also features an AI Game Jam (facilitated by Antonios Liapis) where you get a chance to team up with others to prototype the new ideas you might have picked up during the week. You will also have ample opportunities to network with fellow developers, researchers, and students. Also, Copenhagen is lovely in late June! (Usually.)
If you have participated in previous years, you may still want to show up this year as the material is continuously updated and we have a whole new set of guest speakers. New for this year is also that some afternoon me slots will be dual-track, so that you have the option of going to a more hands-on/introductory lecture or a deep dive into the research frontier.
Early registration rates are available now and until March 1.
