WHAT'S NEW AT MDL

See the MDL Chronology for current and previous items

1.13 Revised/Updated File-Naming Convention for Earth Science Datasets (1-19-2015; revised)

9.13 Visualizing Modeled Meteorological Products in IDV: GFS (1-22-2015; revised)

9.31 Visualizing Modeled Ocean Scalars & Vectors in IDV:  RTOFS (1-24-2015; revised)

5.14 Managing NetCDF, HDF4/5 and GRIB Rasters with Principal Display Programs (1-24-2015; thinned down)

2.3 Creating a Project Map in Saga (1-26-2015; KML added)

The general house-cleaning in MDL, caused by major upgrades to the Saga GIS software, have been completed.  The addition of nearly all the major formats to the GDAL Saga tools now allow us to visualize directly most of the grids that formerly required tedious conversions.  GRIB and HDF are primary examples.

As always, email me immediately if you have questions or problems.
