I tried email reporting and had no success.  I also requested support from in...@marinetraffic.com but got no response.  They indicate that we're supposed to notify them before sending email update, but I am getting no response from them at all at this email address.

Actually, I have a findmespot.com GLID I would like to track and, although they mention support for this, there's no (apparent) way to register the GLID with marinetraffic.com's site.

I did have success getting on their map when using mAIS from the iTunes app store, but this is not how I want to track my position -- I only did it to see if ANY of their "5 additional" ways worked.

Download and start the IAIS app for Android devices with GPS and it will upload your position to Marine Traffic automatically
until you STOP the app collecting data. It runs independently in the background.  Also download/install the MarineTraffic app
which will show YOUR position plus ALL other AIS positions available to the network of shore stations in Google Earth modus.

There is also a GE app using GPS and displaying your position.

The Android based OruxMaps and MarineNavigator can display converted GE maps in .kap format, created by GE2KAP

Finally, using a tablet in your cockpit, controlling your laptop safely down below, using FREE TeamViewer via LAN,you can
run OpenCPN as you normally do.
