marinetraffic satellite data on iPhone

Can anyone advise how I can determine the source of the satellite images as used in the iphone app for marinetraffic? If I use the www.marinetraffic.com website then the image source is shown at bottom of image. I am only interested because the two products appear to differ (some data seems to be different age) when displaying satellite images.
