On my computer the new version will not work with the CHROME browser.  Gives a 1 inch band of map at the top of the page, then all the credits.  Works OK with Internet Explorer.

Any one else have this problem??

Yes, the same thing is happening here and I'm using Firefox!  Firefox is only used here for Marine Traffic.com, but recently I have switched to using IE8 as some of the ship Icons have not been loading in Firefox, which is surprising as Firefox is supposed to be the best browser to view Marine Traffic in.
Its not just happening with Google Chrome.

That's strange, I have just tried  Marine Traffic in Google Chrome and it works fine as it does in IE 8, but now it will not load the map in Firefox?!

I had that problem a few days ago in Safari on Mac Lion. Eventually I noticed a spot to click to Agree to something: access agreement, privacy agreement, or something like that. After clicking to accept, the problem went away. It was down on the bottom near the right of the part of the screen that showed all of the schools, etc., which are participants.

After being constantly pestered by Firefox to upload to the latest version I decided to do it, as MT was not working very well in Firefox. Now MT will not work at all in Firefox so I have abandoned it and now my default browser for  MT is IE 8, in which it works perfectly!
Marine Traffic is blisteringly fast in Google Chrome, but its not so convenient to use as IE8.

Don't you just love it when people update browsers and websites!  (Bangs head on desk!)

There does seem to be a problem with marine traffic website as I'm experiencing exactly the same as you describe and this is so disappointing , as I look at it every day.

When I had this problem several days ago on Safari running on Mac Lion, I eventually found a button down near the bottom to click to agree to their policies. After clicking to agree, the website has worked as before.

Well, this is really weird. All of a sudden my Safari on Mac Lion quit displaying the website correctly, with just the one-character size line at the top. I cannot find anything to click like I did before to restore it. There is the Read the Terms of Use link, but that doesn't fix the problem.

However, If I click on the English flag in the upper right corner and change the language to ANY language other than English, the display resumes correctly. Changing back to English reverts to displaying only the one line map with all of the contributors. Something is really haywire with the HTML code on this web page.

Sorry for replying to my own message: shutting down Safari and restarting it cleared the problem. Not the proper response, but it works.

I have also experienced the same problem. As pointed out, switching
languages to something other than English makes the problem go away.
Unfortunately, I am not fluent in any other languages.
Thanks for the hint so I can at least view the traffic again.

Just refreshing the page should bring the map to its normal size.
