Hello pal!
Just a quick update before I hit the road to visit my favorite city in the world, San Francisco. (My 2nd favorite is Tokyo, my 3rd is NYC, my 4th is Vienna, my 5th Minneapolis, if you were curious. What are yours?)
If you're one of the lucky ones who gets to reside in the beautiful SF Bay Area, I'm part of an art show, "Our American Stories by Asian American Artists," which is currently on exhibit at the City College of San Francisco. This Wednesday evening (4/23/14 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm) we're having an art reception, plus a short artist talk. I'll be showing a preview of and talking about my 2015 graphic memoir, Turning Japanese.
I also have plans to make appearances and do readings in Chicago, Portland, Maryland, Berkeley and more.
Also, I did a little interview where I talk about my inspirations and failures. Take a look:
Thanks for being on my mailing list, and as always, please feel free to respond and let me know how you're doing.
Warmly,
Mari
