Want to run Mariam-NMT in Google Colab

Is this possible to run mariam-nmt toolkit in google colab?

if possible, what will be the procedure to install or usage?

Actually, I don't have any GPU.

I guess that the simple answer is no, or at least it's not going to be straightforward. Theoretically Google CoLab supports running CUDA C/C++ in Jupyter notebooks, but I don't think anybody has tried that with Marian.

I was able to run mariam-nmt in colab.

First I build Marian on a notebook, then I save it on drive.

Then I copied the nmt binaries.

First I build marian-nmt and save a zip with the binaries to my google drive account.

Then in the others notebooks I was using the binaries only.

It is not clean, because it was only a test.

At least the binary runs on colab, but i didn't train a model with it.

Hello Juan,

Sorry for the late reply, I did sort my problem. The issue was with the cmake version. But, while training I came under another problem, I think Marian requires the nvidia driver version of 440+. But currently colab has a version of 418.

Btw, can you please tell which version of nvidia driver were you using in colab?
