fixed Version ColumnStore or EnterpriseServer 23.08

Hi, 
we have created some MCOLS for ColumnStore issues, the fixed Version is 23.08.
is 23.08 then the newly released EnterpriseServer or do we have to wait for a ColumnStore Version 23.08 ... the naming is really confusing.

The version numbering is the year.month.minor

Each product in the MariaDB family has it's own release date and number (ie MaxScale, ColumnStore engine, Connectors, Server, Etc)

MariaDB has recently released a beta version of the enterprise server labeled 23.08.0

You can find the version of the ColumnStore engine by running select mcsgetversion(); in your mariadb client.

The latest ColumnStore engine release as of today is 23.02.4

MCOL ticket versions always refer to the ColumnStore version. We will likely release 23.08.x for ColumnStore engine next week.

The ColumnStore engine is a GPL project available to both the community and enterprise customers. There is no difference.

The current estimate is ~2 weeks from now (always subject to change), which has been renamed to 23.10.0

There's a new package manager script that allows you to query for the mariadb to columnstore mapping of versions.

now - some week past - but I have not found a 23.10.0 version?!?

@allen: Can you help or gibe me a date when the new CS version ist deliverd with MDB enterprise?

Hi Thorsten,

We're having some issues with our notification and documentation system at the moment. That team is working hard to restore functionality.

But 23.10.0 was released 1-2 weeks ago.
Try using a new script 
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/mariadb-corporation/mariadb-columnstore-engine/develop/extra/cs_package_manager.sh
to view the columnstore versions mapping to mariadb community and enterprise versions
Example:   bash cs_package_manager.sh check enterprise --token xxxxxxxxxxx

For enterprise, mariadb 10.6.15-10 contains columnstore 23.10.0-1
MariaDB:  10.6.15-10   Columnstore: 23.10.0-1
