For sure... developing the C++ framework that handles all the orders took forever. And then troubleshooting took weeks until I got everything ironed out. Now it seems like it goes much faster as the results come with much less effort. Looking forward to hearing your suggestions.

Well excellent work in developing it!!. I guess now implementing strategy's using this framework will be easier.
Working /thinking through scenarios on paper is taking a bit of time. Will defiantly report back by the end of this weekend

Hi Rick

I have encountered issues witht the latest version of Mbc ver G. When a hedge is triggered, in this case a b/o hedge it doesn't take any more trades in that direction. After closing the hedge and pips later it added to the basket. Has anyone else encountered this?

Thanks

Maria

Yes this is how BO hedges work - Once hedged, MBC removes the basket TP and will not add any more levels to the basket - if you get a big movement while hedge is in place (in direction favorable to hedge and against the basket) then price could have skipped over several levels, before hedge finally stops out and the basket TP is re-established.
At this point MBC will add levels that it skipped over while hedged.
The idea here is that the market must have started a re-trace, in a direction positive for the basket, in order for the hedge to have stopped out. Adding the skipped basket levels at this point (assuming the retrace continues) will reduce the distance to the new basket TP and make closing the basket much easier

Hope this helps

Cheers Mark

Thanks Mark

In previous version levels kept on building and that's why I asked. So now I know of the change. I've been having an awful lot of trouble since starting to hedge. Do you start hedging early and with a double basket multiplier to make hedging work as described by you?

Cheers

maria

Hi All,

Can anyone here like Rick,Mark, Maria,Mathew, EOGORFX or absolutely anyone in the forum pls look at this set of 3 statements attached and give me some insight as to what strategy this trader is using, or if at all this statement seems genuine and not rigged/edited!!

I hv actually come across someone who states his trader can achieve grt results and has given me these 3 statements as proof abt this trader in action and that he just trades EURUSD.

Looks more like a scalper to me with intervention but does seem to be some EA in use if at all that is and the results seems baffling and so not sure if they are real, but since im more of a novice really i request any of you to pls help out and see if u can give me some insight into this, I shall be ever so great full.

Thanks in advance, pls do take some time out to see these statements and revert.

regards
Manesh

Hi manesh,

I am no expert but looking at the statement, it is hard to tell the statement is fake or not. Even if it is real, I will not bother for the following reason but you are right this is a fast scalper.

1. Initial capital of $10,000 trading 2 lots is way to risky. Although this could be real statement, it may come from a demo account. Vendor could run on multiple demo account to show you the profitable ones and hide the ones with margin call.
2. There is no SL in this EA, you can see in the S/L is 0. There are few trades which close at less than 1 pip which could attribute to slippage.
3. There is one odd trade (48026969) that has S/L set with a profit of 2 064.00. This amount is big percentage of overall profit. May be this trade is manual intervene.
4. Running scalper like this may not be profitable in live account due to slippage. This cannot be validated from the statement.

That is what I see from the statement. I will wait for at least one SL to judge how the EA behave. No way I will trade 2 lots and dump $10k in a live account.

Just sharing my thought.

Matthew

Hello Manesh,

After observing lot's of propaganda, I've come to realize that strategies like this tend to end up with a very large draw down. It may take a few months for the draw down to come... but it will eventually. The 3 statements are really 1 statement with overlapping dates. Doubling the money in 1 week is just insane. I certainly would not put a lot of money in with these guys. Perhaps a little... and expect it to be blown... but if you withdrew the profits on a regular basis who knows... it might be profitable. But then again, you might win the lottery as well.

Hi Manesh

All I can say is that if I had this trading system and I knew the risk of blowing my $10,000 was close to zero I would not disclose it to anybody else!

But with 2 lots open at $20/pip x -500pips  = -$10,000

With 5 open trades as shown on the statement your exposure is 20 x5 = $100/pip an a  -100pip or even -80pip movement will send your account to an early FX death.

On the 5 open trades the price is only about -8.5 pips on average from open but the floating loss is already -971 including commissions.

Maybe this system opens even more than 5 trades at same time.

Also the largest loss trade is -22.04 but the open trades are showing massive losses by comparison – something very wrong there.

There is no way back from disaster as this risk level which = Las Vegas Casino style system - manual or EA - same problem.

This is worth serious study:

All the best.

Hi All,

Thanks to all for sharing ur insights and giving ur best evaluation with great logical explanations too and explaining in detail, yes something didn't seem right to me also about these statements which i had in fact written off as edited or rigged and too good to be true, but the way you guys have analyzed it I obviously couldn't have.

Thanks again to all for helping me out here, you guys just saved be from getting trapped by a scammer here.

Also if any of you guys can help guide me to a good Pamm, i would be great-full. I am truly looking for a pamm in which i can invest $5k or $10k with monthly profit withdrawals. Is anyone of you aware or invested in any such Pamm with good history and is presently running well with reasonable amount of risk which you can share or advise me to join and have a look at?

I personally was watching www.mytraderadvisor.com - performance managed account -- for quite some time before finalizing  but then off late the admin Lionel admits they are in a bit of draw down which is why the myfxbook page hasn't been updated from Nov end - which is also very visible when we take a look at their Atomic system which took the DD around that same time on 21-22 NOV.

Any guidance for a good Pamm investment opportunity wud be highly appreciated, also guys really cant thank you guys enough for ur time and help.

Thanx

Regards
Manesh
