Dear all,
Forwarded is the feedback on our catalogue pages. There are some amendments to be done as listed below and needed to be finalized soon. Please amend the necessary layout and send it to us by 6pm today.
To save time. Please amend the layout without changing the images, only REDUCING the images to make the layout simpler. This way, you can send your in design file only without having to send the entire tiff file to us again. For those who want to change their images, you have to come to school and give the entire package to us (no links please). Ray and I will be working at the computer lab as usual.
Please take note that if we are not receiving the amendment by the mentioned time, we will have to do the amendment to your layout and that you will have to take the risk of losing the images that we think not really necessary to be put in the layout.
Good luck
Shanty/Ray

Thanks for sending these through. My immediate general comment is that in almost every case there are far too many images on each spread. The catalogue cannot be a complete representation of the project - it should show the emblematic images that capture the essence of the scheme.Look at the Bartlett summer catalogue for comparison.
I also think that in some cases people aren't using their strongest images, or are concealing the quality in the work they have produced. Some images just aren't strong enough, graphically, to be included. My suggestions are as follows:
Shanty - lose the bottom twelve images. Give the other images, which are stronger, more space
Gabriel - take the thumbnails off the bottom left plan. Top left image on right hand page has a black border that should be deleted. The images are too cramped and should be a bit smaller with more white space
Charlie - I am surprised and disappointed with the image selection. The right hand page in particular doesn't have the best material and I would change the bottom and top right ones for different drawings....
Anita - again, far, far too many images. There is so much detail and quality in the drawings that it is better that only a couple are chosen and made much bigger so they can be appreciated.
Nick - I'd take off the sections at the bottom which aren't particularly clear or strong, and give all the other images more space to be properly seen
Ray - this one works fine (editor's perk!)
Natalia - could the bottom left images be clearer and more different to the one above? Otherwise OK.
Nicole - this one is also fine.
I haven't looked at the text properly yet.
