Dear Councillors and Community Council
Please find attached a copy of a letter sent to residents in and around Spottiswoode Road in Marchmont on Friday afternoon (24/5/24) about filming for Netflix detective series ‘Department Q’ inside and outside Redbox café on Spottiswoode
Road on 6 June. The attached map shows the full extent of the letter drop. In order to minimise the demand on local parking, the intention is that production’s technical vehicles (vans, trucks, lorries) will be within a fenced-off compound on Arden Street.
The production company is keen to hear from anyone within the area who may be unduly impacted by the filming, including for instance concerns about scheduled works, removals or mobility issues, so that the team can look into mitigations.
A second letter detailing confirmed plans will be circulated no later than a week ahead of filming.
If you have any queries or concerns please let me know.
All the best
Rosie
