Dear Alison, thank you for your email.

We intend to begin to remove the fencing, which was required to be up for a period beyond the summer to allow the area to establish, from Wednesday, 5 November. Please note this process is weather dependent.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if there is anything further I can help with. Kind regards, Alex

Dear Mr Johnston,

The Marchmont & Sciennes Community Council held it's October meeting last month and several of us and local residents are asking when the fencing is to come down from around the large underground water container on Bruntsfield Links/Warrender Park Terrace.

Is there a reason it is still there?

I look forward to hearing from you on this.

Yours aye,

Alison Service

Dear Stakeholder,

I am writing with an update on the final stages of our £7million project to help prevent sewer flooding in the Marchmont area of Edinburgh.

We have finished the installation of the sewer infrastructure and are now reinstating the area next to Warrender Park Terrace. The final phase of the installation requires our teams to carry out survey work.

In order to carry this out safely, we will require to close a short section of Marchmont Crescent to vehicle traffic from Monday 5 May for up to five days.

Pedestrian access will be maintained to all properties and businesses.

More information including a graphic showing the area of the road closure can be found in the attached letter, which has been issued to the local community.

The majority of the site cabins located near the links off Warrender Park Terrace have now been removed.

The area will be seeded with wild meadow seed on Sunday 11 June. Two cabins and small digger will remain until mid-May while the final landscaping works are undertaken. Fencing will be required to be up for a period beyond the summer to allow the area to establish.

We would like to thank the local community for their patience and understanding. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards,

Alex
