An update, to allow more time for word to get around:

Previously 'The questionnaire is open through June [...]'

NOW: The questionnaire is open until the end of Sunday 16th July.

We hope this might make it more feasible in some cases to publicise the survey in time for people to respond.

Best wishes,

Mick

Hello from the Edinburgh Building Retrofit and Improvement Collective, the umbrella organisation for community groups looking at domestic energy efficiency retrofit.

This message is being sent to each City Councillor.

The work of the Collective is in supporting the development of resilient communities right across the city, through community-led improvement of buildings using planned maintenance, retrofit and the introduction of local heat and energy systems. We were fortunate enough to get some funding from the Edinburgh Community Climate Fund green participatory budgeting scheme in February (despite the great variety of excellent and inspiring projects also up for the vote).

To help plan our work we've put together a little Questionnaire for Homeowners* to:

·        understand better how residents across Edinburgh feel about the challenges of energy-efficiency retrofit at home;

·        raise awareness of considering a community-led approach, and

·        increase our knowledge of what people think about it and what would help encourage its use.

You represent a valuable connection to part of the wider Edinburgh community and we'd be really grateful if you could take the survey (https://forms.gle/fRy6kEE2CndfzEUBA) and encourage as many people as possible in your network to do so too (e.g. by mentioning details in newsletters, forwarding details to members, supporters, other local community groups, friends, family, colleagues etc).

The questionnaire is open through June and respondents also have the chance to win a prize!

We attach a flyer to advertise the survey. Please feel free to attach it (or an image of it) to any newsletter / communication etc that you send out before the end of this month.

* We will create a related survey for tenants in due course.

Best wishes from all at the Collective
