Passing of Bev (Jones) Stephenson '90

Hello Alumni, 

It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of beloved member Bev (Jones) Stephenson, class of 1990. I understand that this may be a very difficult time, but know that every generation of the 97 is here to support and comfort you no matter what. Here is a message from Alanna Verdi regarding some ways to honor the memory of Bev: 

It is with a truly broken heart that I share the sudden passing of Bev (Jones) Stephenson. At the request of her family, I am reaching out to her Marching 97 family to share this news.
 
For those of you who knew Bev personally, like me, I am sure you have many memories that can instantly make you smile. For those of you who did not have the opportunity, Bev was always ready with a smile/giggle, a sing along or a Flame.  She was also one of the mighty who participated in the Philadelphia Mummers Day parade.   Bev was a proud member of The 97, Pep Band, Orchestra and of course, the Psyched Marching Society.
 
In February, Bev was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer that she fought valiantly. Sadly, Bev passed peacefully on Sunday, March 22nd surrounded by her loving husband of nearly 30 years (Phil) and two amazing daughters (Molly and Katie). Funeral services will be held on April 7th in North Shields, England.
 
Honoring Her Legacy
For over 15 years, Bev was a dedicated educator, inspiring students across North Tyneside to develop IT skills. She took immense pride in supporting children and later helped schools nationwide improve their technology systems.
