Your willpower is much stronger than you think. But all
too often, most of it is being used to maintain your own ego, which gets
you nowhere.
You use the energy of your willpower to prove you are right, yet that
brings nothing of value. You use your willpower to defend and justify what
you already know rather than learning something new.
When you use your willpower to feed, soothe, comfort and maintain your
own ego, what happens? You end up with a big, strong, comfortable ego, and
not much else.
Your willpower is always pointed in precisely the direction you have
decided to point it. Take a good look around and you'll see what that
direction has been, you'll see where your willpower has brought you so
far.
Then make the decision to apply the considerable power of your will to
the things that truly matter. Instead of wasting your willpower on
frustration, anger and envy, put it to use creating value, achievement and
real joy.
Your willpower can take you quickly and effectively to wherever you
decide to go. Keep it pointed in a positive direction.
