On August 11 of last year, I posted an item "MPSL Bureaucratic BS & Other Stuff" to enlighten everyone about the various aspects that make our pickup soccer games what they are and to try to get something going for others to take over those tasks that I have been doing. Eight people have volunteered to participate in the transition; I have dubbed the group the MPSL Management Team. The members of the team are:
MPSL Management Team |
|
Alex Dimin | |
Bryant Rudy | |
David Edinger | |
Eli Schloss | |
Jose Correa | |
Josh Weber | |
Mario Mena | |
Wayne Beckerman |
Wayne will continue to coordinate with the school on field and gym use scheduling.
David will continue to take care of the annual insurance policy renewal and take over the financial duties as soon as we figure out the logistics of getting the registration and usage fees to him.
The remaining team members are there to perform check ins and ensure waivers are in place as the need arises.
However, we still need a couple of additional volunteers.
Note that this individual does not have to be present at a game, nor even be a player.
I haven 't quite figured out what to do about the ad-hoc Lost and Found.
If you would like to volunteer to help in these matters, please let us know. It's time for me to turn these tasks over to ensure our pickup games continue without interruption.

I think, most times, it would be in conjunction with the waiver/registration of new players (when I remember to ask them if they want to be added to the Google Group)..
