It has been seen in the past that normal ASCII scheme (32-127) is not
enough to fit in entire set of Marathi characters. Which was quite
obvious as the focus was mainly on aesthetics. To achieve the same
most of the vendors had used various schemes. This resulted into
hundreds of vendor specific font schemes and supporting applications
to use them.
The basic theme of 'gangal' font is to focus on ease rather than
aesthetics. We have achieved aesthetics of the font to the level of
readability. The efforts were taken to fit almost all basic consonants
and vowels on a keyboard using standard 94 key combinations on it,
thus eliminating need of any supporting application. The keyboard has
been designed keeping user friendly approach in mind. This enables the
user to correspond in Marathi with ease.
In our initial days we made 'gangal' font available to public free of
cost. We got tremendous response from all over the world. Since then
we have received encouraging feedbacks, emails, and calls from the
'gangal' font user community. Based on which we are ready to launch
refined version of 'gangal' font.
Features:
* Entire Marathi in 94 keys on the keyboard.

* Automatic separation between two complete 'Akshar' (Syllable) of
Marathi.

supports '.ttf' family.

Commercial plan:
Individual users:
The 'gangal' font will be made available to the individual user free
of cost. The Gangals as a company would enter in JV or MOU with some
popular commercial web site / News Paper House (henceforth referred as
The Client). As a result of this understanding Gangals will be paid
one time or in phase's royalty fee for the font. In turn the client
will be benefited in following ways:
o Increased number of hits on the site due to popularity of the font.
o The Client would get edge over it's competitor of Getting indulged
into launching altogether unique technology first time across the
world.
o 'gangal' font has global scope due to its compatibility with almost
all families of Microsoft Windows operating system. This will be
resulted into more numbers of individual users.
Corporates / Universities:
It has been seen that minimum cost of the single license of any
established software is somewhere around Rs. 1000/-. Most of the
corporate houses invest lakhs of rupees to get them installed at their
site.
The 'gangal' font can be offered to them at some nominal fees to them.
Same customers will be benefited with special discount on forthcoming
versions of Gangal font and solutions developed around it.
