I'll be giving a presentation at a state library conference with a colleague in the fall. We'll be taking advice from 19th and early 20th century household management, culinary, and other "guides" from our History of Food and Drink Collection and applying it to the modern age of librarianship. Basically, we're hoping to share tips for things like leadership, budgeting, time management, networking, and collaboration from unexpected sources historical sources and have a little fun in the process. Our audience will be primarily librarians. However, I would really like to do a version of this presentation for an archival audience, too.

Is anyone working on proposals/ideas for the Boston meeting that relate to specific topics like leadership, collaborations, networking. etc. or to the broader topic of advice for professionals (new or seasoned)? If so, I'd love to talk about the possibility of a session proposal! I'm willing to be general or to focus on 1-2 topics specifically, if it would compliment someone else's presentation.
