MPW merge error

I make a number of separate maps for each day of hiking and only want to merge when I need to upload to GPS.

 

My problem arise when I merge the mpw files into one. I loose lines and some lines are changed to other types. I use both default and custom lines.

 

I hope you can help me what to do differently.
