mapsurfer tiles server (korona) down

Folks, 

the demo tiles server seems down since sometime - is anyone looking at it? In the past I was in contact with Max Rylov via email, but it seems he's not anymore at Heidelberg University - is the project still alive, right? Since these are the best maps around ;)
