Using MapSurfer.net to create an ASP.NET maps application

Hi Folks,

This looks like the right place to be but I'm having trouble getting started.

I'm running vs2015 and have installed MapSurfer.NET

Firstly when I run it, and open or create a new project, all windows are blank, project explorer has no content at all. I don't know how to progress if I can't even see a basic map

So I'd like to get through that and then eventually get to the stage where I have an ASP.NET app which is able to zoom in and out and add pins etc to specific locations for d3 data visualisation overlays

Any handholding to achieve this process would be appreciated.

I'll be happy to push the resulting ASP.NET project for others to use if we can get it working as I've described.. thanks

Oh, and the intention is to have the map data itself held on the asp.net server and not referenced across the internet, so it will work like google maps but not need an internet connection at all. HTH
