MapStore2 users GeoServer integration with Authkey

Hi,

Can I add this connection between Geoserver and Mapstore, after creating my database and adding users? I already have some users and groups created by the mapstore. It is giving an error.

when some error like this happens, typically it is because there are some errors with the configuration following the procedure. 

I suggest to repeat the procedure.

I've done this several times, created a new geoestore database, created the table from the geoserver, downloaded the geoserver again. Restart the Geoserver after the step that has to select the Administrator role for ADMIN

* select the group administrator role for ADMIN, nothing appears. I restarted the geoserver and nothing. I copy the files https://github.com/geosolutions-it/geostore/tree/master/geoserver. And I can't get over that part.

Can you help me, please.

In theory, yes. If you want to use authkey to communicate with those services, remember to set the proper authentication rule in MapStore localConfig.json, as explained here: https://mapstore.readthedocs.io/en/latest/developer-guide/integrations/users/geoserver/

"useAuthenticationRules": true, ..., { "urlPattern": "\\/geoserver/.*", "authkeyParamName": "authkey", "method": "authkey" }],

Can I revive this thread ?
(sorry for the double posting, I added it on a different thread by mistake)

I am facing the exact same issue with Mapstore  v2024.02.02 and Geoserver 2.27.
The rest of the setup is Tomcat 9 on an RHEL9 machine and a remote psql.

I restarted the process multiple times but still no luck.

Can anyone advise ?

Hi,

When you put the XML files in the data directory, you have to open this page and click again on save, to make geoserver load that files.

Then, opeining the page again, the roles should be available.

Hello,

I follow the instructions from github, I add the xml files and save, but as @wesley some years ago, on the second step (the "Setup Role Service") I cannot add ADMIN as an "Administrator role". The option is not there as show in my screenshot.
I have restarted the process, I have checked for file ownership issues, but the issue remains.
