Hi,

I had created in the past several charts with categories shown either as piled or grouped, like this one:

I would like to create similar charts but with quantitative data. Eg school pupils gender. Of course there are 2 different (integer) fields. But I can only choose one single field for Axis Y. The edit button for custom colors only provides access to coordinates or string fields:

Is there a way round this or is it still to be implemented in MapStore?

Sincerely,

Severin

Currently is not possible, but we have in plan this https://github.com/geosolutions-it/MapStore2/issues/8755 to be released in 2024.01.00

Now you can create multiple charts inside the same widget by clicking on plus icon "add a new layer"
maybe this can be helpful

Thanks for your answer, looking forward to the new coing feature.
The "add a new layer" looks interesting, but I do not have such + button in the toolbar on the 2023.01.01 version and did not find anything to be activated in the plugin page of my context. As 2023.02 has just been released, I guess I should find it somewhere?

Sincerely,

Severin

Hi Severin,

As previously said the multivariable charts feature will be available in 2024.01.00 yiou can track progress by checking it here 8755

On the other hand checking the user guide I noticed that the first version where Add new layers plus button has been added is 2023.01.00. Note that this is available only for charts widgets

This is the link to the 2023.01.00 doc

Just to try and clarify:
stacking multiple variables inside a single chart will be part of the next major release.

Apart from that, I think there is a mistake in the documentation; what Matteo is referring to is the ability to have charts that can switch input layers via dropdown (see the pie chart in this dashboard).
This is available only for charts in Dashboards.

Let's hear from Matteo if I am mistaken.
