hello group,

I am not able to implement the satellite image in the background of my maps by following this tutorial:

Which HTML files should I add "<script src="https://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?v=3"></script>" because I tried to add this:
  {
        "type": "google",
        "title": "Google HYBRID",
        "name": "HYBRID",
        "source": "google",
        "group": "background",
        "visibility": false
    }

to new.json, but I was unsuccessful. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,
As you can read in the note Google layers are not officially maintained anymore.
The old implementation is still there, but if it doesn't work you may need to find the bug and fix the implementation, to make it work.

The last time I checked effectively the OpenLayers implementation was not working anymore, while the  the leaflet one was working, even if the API key was required.
