OSM db and poi

I have looked everywhere, but I cannot find any documentation or samples on how to create map tiles that uses OSM db and poi files with the corresponding map file. The tiles will be used as overlays on top of an Android map view. The base map file works fine, but not the db file. Any help is greatly appreciated.

There is the map-writer tool to create Mapsforge offline maps.

And there is the poi-writer tool to create Mapsforge offline POI.

After the creation, there are usage examples in both libraries.
