Convert from .img or .mp

Have been using some open source maps on my Garmin GPS for a while which I would like to use on my Android phone.

I have been unable to find and program with a suitable converter for these maps (available as both .img and the source .mp files) that includes the street numbers.

Do you have anything available that would allow this to be converted to a mapsforge map?

Mapsforge uses a plugin for Osmosis tool for building the maps.
So I think eventually it's about what Osmosis can read.

A converter from Garmin to OSM format could help.
e.g. RouteConverter or mp2osm
