Today we enabled the last platform of VTM, the "web" for running in browser.
(see screenshot)

Thanks to work from Izumi Kawashima the vtm-web and vtm-web-app are again active.

Instructions for how to run it locally in your browser and test exist here.

In GwtMap you'll find some url parameters for trying other maps or themes.

There is still work to be done, like SVG support, implementation of new graphics API interfaces or Mapsforge maps support.

But it's excellent that community embraces VTM and supports all its platforms!

Hello,

I just tested this module on my Windows 10 PC.
At some point page fire an error which say something like "error occured while displaying page" (translated from my language)

I launched the project by importing it in AndroidStudio and launching the task jettyDraftWar.
Error occur when zoom on the map start to display building in 3D. I can see some tile rendered in 3D and after that the error message.

Error occur on Chrome version 54.0.2840.99 m
It seem to not occur on IE, however, on IE, map navigation is very very bad, and seem to not handle my touchscreen.
On Chrome my touch screen seem to be very well handled for 3D navigation :-)

However I've no skill in web techno and so I don't know where I can found some log for trace the error.

If you want more information do not hesitate to ask.

Regards
Max

Thanks for the feedback!

What graphics card / drivers does the pc have?

And if it's a pc with two GPU (e.g. Optimus), which one is active?

Can anyone prepare a short instruction on how to deploy it on a standalone web server?

Hello,

My PC is an ASUS UX302LG, and it contains two cards: an Intel 4400 HD + Nvidia 730M.
I'm praticly sure that it run on the Intel graphic HD4400. But indeed I need to check. I cannot access my personal PC for now, I will check later.

But if it "works" on IE and not on Chrome, maybe it's not a graphic card issue ?

Regards.

A war with all dependencies could work?

In vtm-web-app build.gradle I see the dependencies are declared with providedCompile which doesn't add them to the war archive.

More information:

Same crash seem to occur on another PC with Windows 7 and Chrome. This PC is powered with Nvidia Quadro 2000 card.
No crash occur on Firefox and Internet explorer.

To reproduce the crash, open on Chrome and zoom until it begin to display building in 3D most of the time it crash, tilt for change camera view and it will crash.

vtm-web modules are working again.

I also integrated the old default theme using texture atlas with png icons (see screenshot).
