Animate map center and map position marker

I see there is an animator object to translate map from one position to anoher, but I want to achieve is have a dynamic marker to show the current position on the map, but also I want to animate the marker so i can see the translate animations running smoothly

There is LocationActivity in VTM samples to check.

Animator has methods to move map center smoothly.
A location marker gets its coordinates from GPS, according to sensor schedule, e.g. every ~1".

Can divide distance in steps to simulate smooth movement or use more advanced solution like Kalman filter.

BTW you probably mean VTM, please write library name in topic title, for easy reference.
