The National Day of Civic Hacking is Sept 23rd. Let's organize an event. Anyone have ideas?

Mapping public institutions/buildings (police, fire, rescue, libraries, courthouses, etc.) and lands (e.g. parks, trails, municipal infra) would be in the civic spirit. Could be an armchair event, or a field survey. Even in well-mapped areas of DC & burbs much of the data haven't been checked for 5+ years.

I'd be interested in other ideas, especially if they compliment other local open data/open government initiatives. Thoughts?
