গ্রুপে আগত বাংলাদেশী ম্যাপাররা নিজেদের পরিচয় দিয়ে সবার সাথে আলোচনা
শুরু করুন। :-)

এই গ্রুপের সেপিংস এ কিছু পরিবর্তন করে দিয়েছি। গ্রুপে জয়েনের ক্ষেত্রে
অ্যাপ্রুভের কোন বাধা থাকছেনা আপাতত। সবার জন্য উন্মুক্ত থাকবে গ্রুপ, যে
খুশি জয়েন করতে পারবে।

সব মেম্বারদের অন্য ম্যাপারদের ইনভাইটেশন জানানোর অপশন অন করে দিয়েছি যা
আগে অফ ছিল। আপনারা দয়া করে পরিচিত ম্যাপারদের গ্রুপে নিয়ে আসুন।

আর আমাদের ডিফল্ট সাইট হিসাবে https://sites.google.com/site/mappingbangladesh/
সাইটটিকে ব্যবহার করা হবে। RER ও সদস্যগণ রিভিউএর সময় দয়া করে সাইট ও
এই গ্রুপের লিংক ধরিয়ে দেবেন।

সাইটিতে আরো কি কি সংশোধন করা প্রয়োজন সে ব্যাপারে সবার মতামত আশা করছি।

আমি মেহেদী-আল-মানসুর , মেহেদীডেভিড নামে পরিচিত। এক্স হাজী আবুল হোসেন ইন্সটিটিউট অব টেকনোলজি থেকে কম্পিউটার সাইন্স এ লেখা পড়া করেছি। ইন্টারনেটে আছি অনেক বছর ধরে। অনেক আগে থেকেই ইচ্ছে ছিল বাংলাদেশের ম্যাপিং-এর জন্য কাজ করার। আশা করছি খুব ভাল ভাল কাজ উপহার দিতে পারব। আমার বাড়ী টাঙ্গাইল মধুপুরে । আমি সমগ্র দেশ নিয়ে কাজ করছি ,যেখানে যে ভাবে সহযোগিতা করতে পারি সেই ভাবেই সাহায্য করছি ?আর সবকিছুর মূলে থাকবে টাঙ্গাইল উপর নিয়ে কাজ করা।  যারা টাঙ্গাইল আসবেন, গুগল ম্যাপে সবচেয়ে লেটেস্ট তথ্যগুলোর মাধ্যমে যেন উপকৃত হন, সেই প্রত্যাশা করছি। টাঙ্গাইল এ আসলে যে কেউ সহযোগিতা প্রযোজন হলে আমার সাথে যোগাযোগ করতে পারেণ ? বর্তমানে  সিলেটের এফআইভিডি্বি এ কম্পিউটার টেকনিশিয়ান পদে আছি ।

আমি রাশ, জয়পুরহাটে থাকি। এখানেই ব্যবসা বানিজ্য করি। ম্যাপে দেখলাম নিজের জেলার তেমন কিছুই আপডেট নাই । তাই ম্যাপিং করতে বসলাম। কিছু এডিট এপ্রুভও হয়েছে । আপাতত ভালই লাগছে ম্যাপিং।

আমি ম্যাপিং করে বেশ মজা পাচ্ছি। আমার এলাকাটা সূক্ষভাবে দেখার সুযোগ পাচ্ছি। তবে কাজ করতে যেয়ে লক্ষ্য করছি আমার এলাকায় বেশ কয়েকটি গুরত্বপূর্ন ভুল রয়েছে। যা আমি সংশোধন করার চেষ্টা করছি। সঠিকভাবে যেন ম্যাপিং করতে পারি তারজন্য সকলের সহযোগীতা কামনা করছি।
ও আরেকটি বিষয় আমার এলাকার কেউ গ্রুপে অবস্থান করলে দয়া করে সাড়া দেবেন। তাহলে কোন বিষয়ে সন্দেহ থাকলে তা যাচাই করা সহজ হবে।

The university, the medical college, engineering college, engineering university and many other establishments were not there when I was a boy, but I do not know if a medical university was established in Rajshahi. Now I become astonished to see in Google Maps that there is a medical university in Rajshahi. Many many such posts are there not only in Rajshahi but at many other places.

Officially there is no Medical University at Rajshahi at this moment. Bangladesh has only one, that's BSMMU. Govt. has planned to make old 8 medical college into varsity but its still not applied. Rajshahi University has a Faculty name "Medicine" which is the controller and authority of all Medical College Inside Rajshahi & Rangpur Division. They Issues Certificate for them.

Right you are my dear Tanzil, but you will get Rajshahi Medical University. Anyway, forget this, such things will always be there and other people is to clean them. That is life.

We'r Trusted reviewer from Google and moderate (Approve/Deny) users edit after review. Total 14 RER's are now available for Bangladesh and you''ll find 7 of them in our forum. They've a green "R" sign after their name. We've two honorable country Advocates from Google to maintain internal regulations. We all works voluntarily for Google for the sake of Bangladesh.

You'll learn many thing in a short period of time, participating this forum. Specially how to work for country and represents our nation to others.

১০ দিনে ২৫৩টা এডিট ফেডিট করে আমি কোয়াইট করলাম। নিজের পকেটের টাকা নষ্ট করে ফাও কাজ আর করতে ভাল্লাগে না।

অবশ্যই। আমি নিজে প্রায় ২ বছর থেকে পকেটের টাকা খরচ করেই ম্যাপিং করছি, এবং এই ফোরামের সবাই সেটাই করছে, আপনিই প্রথম ব্যক্তি নন যিনি নিজের টাকা খরচ করছেন। আমরা যদি এই ”ফাও কাজ” টা না করতাম তবে আপনি এখনো গুগল ম্যাপে বাংলাদেশকে আইয়্যামে জাহেলিয়াতের যুগে পেতেন, পুরোপুরি ফাকা ধূ-ধূ প্রান্তর। আমরা নিজেরা কিছু পাবার জন্য কাজ করিনি, এবং সেটার কথা চিন্তাও করিনি। যখন সময় পেয়েছি, সময়টাকে কাজে লাগিয়েছি দেশের উন্নয়নের জন্য। আমাদের এই আত্মত্যাগের কারণে আজ হয়ত গুগল ম্যাপে অনেককিছুই পাচ্ছেন।

আপাত দৃষ্টিতে আপনার মনে হচ্ছে ফাও কাজ। কিন্তু আপনার কাজ থেকে অনেকে উপকৃত হতে পারেন। উদাঃ আমি নিজে। গুগল ম্যাপ ঢাকা শহরের কত নতুন জায়গায় যেতে যে আমাকে পথ দেখিয়েছে তা আমি নিজেও জানি না। এমনিভাবে আরও অনেক মানুষ হয়ত প্রতিদিন তার গন্তব্যের সঠিক দিক নির্দেশনা পায় এই ম্যাপ থেকে। আপনি আমি হয়ত সঠিক সংখ্যাটা জানি না, কিন্তু আমাদের কাজ করা ম্যাপ যদি একজন কেও সঠিক পথ দেখায় তাহলেই আমাদের সবার কষ্ট সার্থক। এখন আপনি যদি অবদান না রাখতে চান সেটা আপনার ব্যাপার।

সীমান্ত শাহজাহান, নিজ জেলা শেরপুর। অর্থনীতিতে অনার্স ও মাস্টার্স শেষ করেছি জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে। বর্তমানে দিনাজপুর সরকারী মহিলা কলেজের অর্থনীতি বিভাগের বিভাগীয় প্রধান হিসাবে দায়িত্ব পালন করছি। পদবী-সহকারী অধ্যাপক। আমি শখের বশে ম্যাপিংয়ে এসেছিলাম। এখন নেশায় পরিনত হয়েছে। বিশেষ করে আপনাদের ডেডিকেশন আর আন্তরিকতা দেখে নিজেকে অপরাধী মনে করি। নিজের এলাকার জন্য আমি কিছু করতে পারবোনা, তবুও যদি ম্যাপিংয়ে সময় দিয়ে একটু দায়মুক্ত হতে পারি-তাতেও শান্তি পাবো। আপনাদের কাছে আমি সব সময় শিখতে চাই। বয়স দিয়ে কাউকে আমি জুনিয়র হিসাবে বিবেচনা করতে চাইনা। বয়সে যত ছোটই হোক, আমি সবার কাছ থেকে শিখতে চাই। আমি গত সেপ্টেম্বর-২০১২ তে ম্যাপিংয়ে যোগদান করি। চাকুরীর অবসরে যতটুকু পারি, সময় দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করি।

আমি কৌশিক,

আমি গুগল ম্যাপিংএ very interested. আমি বাংলাদেশ গুগল ম্যাপিংএর কাজ করতাম এই ৬/৭ মাস আগে । নিজের ইচ্ছায় আমি কৌতুহল নিয়ে এতে কাজ করেছি । ১২ টার মতো place edit করে দিয়েছিলাম , অধিকাংশই approve হয়েছিলো । এগুলো ছিলো আমার নিজের গ্রামের কয়েকটি স্থান , যার নাম ও সীমানাসহ বিস্তারিত মোটামুটি আমি জানতাম ।
আমি ছোট বেলা থেকে ভৌগলিক মানচিত্র ও আকাশের মানচিত্রে অনেক আগ্রহী । আমি মানচিত্র পর্যবেক্ষন করে নিজের সময়কে আনন্দে ভরাতে পছন্দ করি । যখন আমি গুগল ম্যাপের সন্ধান পাই আমি আগ্রহে এটি দেখতে থাকি । পরবর্তিতে গুগল ম্যাপিং বাংলাদেশ এর খোঁজ ইন্টারনেটে পেলে আমি ঐ ম্যাপিংএর কাজ ঘেঁটে বের করি ও তা নিজে করি ।
আমার গ্রামের দিকের ও অনেক স্থানের জ্ঞান আমার কাজে ভাসা ভাসা । তাই যত্ন সহকারে place এর সীমানা আঁকতে পারলেও place নিয়ে নাম ও সঠিক বিবরণ দিতে পারবো না । আর তার জন্যই আমার ম্যাপিংএর কাজকে পরে আর continue করতে পারি নি ।

এছাড়া আমি এতে খুব বেশি দক্ষও নই ।
আমি জানি না এ অবস্থায় আমি কিভাবে নিজেকে এতে নিয়জিত রাখতে পারি ।
আমি বিবিএ তে ৩য় বর্ষের ছাত্র ।
ইন্টারনেট ব্যাবহার করছি প্রায় ৩ বছর ধরে । ব্রডব্যান্ডের কেব্‌ল্‌ ইন্টারনেট ব্যাবহার করি ।
পড়ালেখার পাশাপাশি হাতে অনেক সময় পরে থাকে । সময় কাজে লাগাতে চাই । আর তার জন্য চাই সুপরামর্শ ।

Dear Mr. Koushik,

It is better to go the other way around. It is better to firstly start mapping by creating/editing POIs (Places/Points of Interest) and line features (roads, rivers, trails etc.) following our tutorial site as aforementioned.

One you have learned the basics of Map Maker and have had good practice  only then we would recommend you to move on to drawing boundary features (political features, para/mahalla, villages etc.).

Hello everybody, sorry for the late post, this is SHAJED UL KABIR. I am an IT professional, doing job as Sr. Executive- IT in ESQUIRE GROUP since last 6 years. I am from  Dhaka and my home district is Natore. Some days ago i have joined this group. Actually I tried to do mapping but i do not know the procedure. Last time Smart Expo 2013 i knew how to do map and how to submit,etc.from the help desk of Mapping Bangladesh. I do not know a lot about Mapping, but by the help of that help desk i have done some edit and also got approved. That approval encourage me a lot. I try to do mapping when i get some time in my daily life. I am trying to know how to do map from this Mapping Bangladesh site. Thanks to all of you for doing a great great work for our Bangladesh.
