The interface and categorization system of posts here is perhaps more easier for navigation than that of Facebook Group.

It seems that communities is new. Basically that is the difference between G+ page and communities?

It seems so, yes. I do not see any difference other than categorization system of posts, which is absent in Google+ Pages and Facebook Groups. It is not needed to browse through tens or hundreds of posts when looking for information when the search can be narrowed down via categories; the categories can be added and deleted in a community.
