ইংরেজীর সাথে বাংলা লেখা প্রসঙ্গে

ধন্যবাদ সবাইকে এটাই আমার প্রথম পোস্ট এই গ্রুপে। আসলে সুন্দর ম্যাপিং করার মানুষিকতায় আমাকে এখানে এনেছে। এক্সপার্টদের কাছে একটি প্রশ্ন , কেউ কি বলবেন ? ম্যাপিং করার সময় স্থানটির পরিচয়ের ক্ষেত্রে ইংরেজীর  সাথে বাংলায় নামকরন করাটি কি ভুল ? যদি তাই হয় তবে আমি বেশ কিছু জায়গার নাম ইংরজীর পাশাপাশি বাংলায় দেখতে পাই।  দয়া করে বলবেন এটা কিভাবে করা হয়েছে ?

আপনাকে স্বাগতম এই গ্রুপে। Map Makerএ আপনি বাংলা ও ইংরেজি নাম একসাথে পাশাপাশি লিখতে পারবেননা। যদি কোনো স্থানের ইংরেজি ও বাংলা দু'টি নামই যোগ করতে চান সেক্ষেত্রে নাম লিখার পরে 'Add more names'এ click করে অন্যান্য নাম যোগ করবেন। বাংলা নামের ক্ষেত্রে language হিসেবে 'Bengali' select করতে হবে, নইলে বাংলা নামটি mapsএ সঠিকভাবে প্রদর্শিত হবেনা।

একটু অন্য প্রসঙ্গে জানতে চাচ্ছি, যেমন একটি জেলার বিভিন্ন এলাকাকে Google ম্যাপে উল্লেখ করতে চাইলে কোন Category তে নিব ? আমি যদি সেখানে Region , Territory, Village কিংবা অন্যান্য শব্দ উল্লেখ করি তবে সুন্দর কোন সমাধান আসেনা।

এক্ষেত্রে নিম্নোক্ত ধাপ অনুসরণ করুন:
Add New > Add Natural features and political boundaries > গ্রাম, পাড়া/মহল্লা ইত্যাদির জন্য search boxএ লিখুন 'Sub-Locality' এবং এটি select করুন। এরপর উক্ত এলাকার boundary আঁকা শুরু করুন।
