অনেকদিন পরে ম্যাপিং বাংলাদেশ এর কথা মনে পড়লো। নস্টালজিক একটা সময়। এখনকার যুগের লোকাল গাইডস আর তখনকার ম্যাপমেকার কমিউনিটির মধ্যে বিস্তর ফারাক লক্ষ্য করেছি গত কয়েক বছরে। ম্যাপিং বাংলাদেশের হাসান শাহেদ ভাই এর কথাই বেশি মনে পড়ছে। আরো কিছু নাম মনে আসছেনা, তবে তাদের ছবি একটু একটু ভাসে মনের ভেতরে।

ওসময় আমরা যারা কাজ করতাম, তারা কোম সবার্থ ছাড়াই ঘন্টার পর ঘন্টা কাজ করে বাংলাদেশের বেইজ ম্যাপটা দাড় করিয়েছিলাম। পাইওনিয়ার ছিলেন আলতাফ ভাই, জামান ভাল, হাসান ভাই, আরমান, তানজিল, তাফসীর, মরহুম মাসুদ ভাই, টিপু ভাই ও আরো অনেকে। আল্লাহ মাসুদ ভাইকে বেহেশত নসীব করুক, আমীন। খুব ভাল একটা মানুষ ছিলেন উনি।

Salam Br Dawood and All,

I hope this finds you in good health and spirits Insha Allah! I do fondly miss our collaborate mapping endeavours, I realized we were doing very professional level work back in the day after having compared it to office jobs here in Canada, my current residence. I am proud of the accomplishments we have collectively achieved as a community, the projects and campaigns we have been a part of and the example we have set as a country in this modern day and age. It is an absolute pleasure knowing you, and don’t forget to keep in touch!

May Allah bless Masud bhai, who I was a fond of and enjoyed dinner together when he visited Akboria in Bogra on his visit. May the Almighty keep us all safe and healthy in these challenging times and for those who have suffered loss, please accept my deepest condolences.
