Dear Mr. Dinu Alam,

Thank you for your post.

Please be informed that the names (spelling) we use for political features (Division, District, Sub-district etc.) are mostly derived from how government addresses/spells the features. The government is still using those names as evident from publicly available data (BBS Stats, government websites etc.). Since the features are still spelled that way by the government, removing that spelling and replacing it by a transliteration would be unethical.

However, since transliterated names are preferred on Map Maker, we still input the transliterated form of the official Bengali name, flagging it obscure for searching purposes. Since লক্ষ্মীপুর is spelled Lakshmipur officially in English by the government, we have to flag this spelling to be primary/official/both. You may consider adding the name Lokkhipur to the feature in context and flag the name as obscure for now. The name that's rendered (displayed) on maps will still be লক্ষ্মীপুর in Bengali and Lakshmipur in English, but at least when you search for Lokkhipur in maps, you won't get blank results, rather you should be redirected to Lakshmipur.

Thank's for your quick attention Valuable Reply.
But, Some one has to Start, i send few e-mail's to local official's already about this Issue. Why not we Start useing the Name লক্ষ্মীপুর, Spell "Lokkhipur" Now On ? Government Official's does not use that much English Spelling, They are not like U and Me with the Google Map, They Look @ the Map Very Rear, once in a while. And we have to Start Now? if we start using  "লক্ষ্মীপুর-Lokkhipur" in the Map Now on, Very near feauture this is going to be Change on the Government Paper work, They will Be Looking @ the Map and use Correct word  "লক্ষ্মীপুর-Lokkhipur" that we are using NOW. Hello
Officially its Lakshmipur. I have not seen 'Lokkhipur' at anywhere but some of your edit. Please stop changing all place named Lakshmipur. It has taken a lot of effort to edit this map. You should not change any name when you don't have strong evidence. Thanks
