Dear Avijit, Carl,

I just found Nabinagar Town under Brahmanbaria District added in September 2012 by Avijit and approved by Carl. That's a good team work. But when I got deeper, I found that the boundary of the town is exactly the same as Nabinagar Upazila added by Ashraful in August 2012!! By the way, Nabinagar Town already existed since December 2011, a visible English name.

Can someone please explain what's going on here? :)

Thanks,
Zaman

Thanks Zaman vai for noticing this anomaly.
I have another question. Is the (urban) city boundary the same as
pourasova boundary? If the answer is yes, and I hope it is, I will
add/update urban cities in my area according to the official union
kmls which include pourasovas as well.

AsSalamuAlaikum Zaman bhai,
Thanks for noticing and notifying us. I think the boundary of
Nabinagar (City / Town / Village) must be verified or be deleted,
because there's already a Nabinagar (http://goo.gl/XCSh5) in 'City /
Town /Village' category exists which was approved in Nov. 12, 2007. By
the way, can you tell us about the progress of new category for Union
mapping?

Dear Zaman Bhai, Thanks for Notifying this mistake. Actually When we were mapping our Unions, I got a KML of UNION boundary of Nabinagar which I drawn and Approved by Carl because the KML was seems right, As I was adding that under City/Town/Village, The Upazila Boundary Did not shown as Marked automatically. That is why I was unable to find that duplicate. Also as in UNION mapping regulation, It was mentioned to Delete existing non-verified boundary, might be I was to delete that. But any how by Mistake It was not deleted.

Now i think the UNION Boundary which I marked as same as Upazila Boundary need to be deleted and I am doing so... The existing Town is left as it was.

Again, many many thanks for this notification....

Dear all,

Just a little comment to Br. Avijit's reply, I strongly suggest not to delete existing non-verified boundary if it is almost as accurate as the verified one. When you delete a city, all features and everything existing inside becomes detached from the city. Hence when you draw a new city in its place, you will have to mark each feature existing inside it and attach it to the new city once again. There may be hundreds if not thousands of features which may need to be attached like this, this may become a problem in navigation.

However, this is only my opinion. I request you to correct me if I am wrong.

Dear Br. Arman, The existing city is left as it was. I am deleting which I have added as UNION with Upazila KML. The Union is the Last UPDATE of this boundary and I think if we Delete only the Last Added Boundary which was added by me then the contradiction will be closed... Please check the Links in my previous Link.

Thanks and Regards,
