Mapping Rivers in Northern Area (Gilgit)

A new mapper, namely "S. Kumar" (http://www.google.com/mapmaker?gw=66&uid=200143415965539287226) is naming rivers in the Northern area (Gilgit & Baltistan)  using a small polygon drawn at large interval and then placing the river name with abbreviation "R." for River. On my comment on his edit, he has replied that he is doing so in order to overcome some problem in the map maker, due to which GMM does not display the river names, in case elongated polygons are drawn covering long reach of the river. His polygons are duplicate additions to the orignal river polygons drawn by othe experienced mapers like "Nazar Hayat" and i feel that his approach is not correct.

Mapmaker shows Water feature name and NHK has worked hard to draw
water features and assigning them names. this User S. Kumar went all
over Pakistan and India and draw water features over already drawn
water features, and used R. in all edits. I removed R. form 10-15 of
his edits yesterday. from Sialkot and South Punjab area. and all his
edits were actual duplicates of already water features but they were
big polygons so they were not showing river name where he liked and he
created new polygons. I noticed a patron in his edits he created edits
at when rivers meet other rivers or near to popular bridge or Barrage
on rivers.
