Over the course of doing Map Maker work, I have also done plenty of Report a Problems in Google Maps itself when I become far too impatient to draw or edit the features myself, or it's too complex for me to handle, or restrictions, etc. Perfectly fine. Many of these have been corrected in one way or another, but have actually gone unanswered, until now. (I checked the box to be notified each time.)

These past few days, I think I just experienced a sort of reverse Santa Claus effect: tons of emails saying "Google Maps has been updated to correct the problem you reported." Nearly all of the problems in these emails are actually quite old, and I kind of noticed they have already been corrected shortly after I initially sent in the reports, but was never formally updated on them until now.

So it seems like an email backlog floodgate just opened up for me. I'm actually quite grateful for the responses, but quite annoyed that they were all sent to me at once en masse. Has anyone else experienced this with their own Report a Problems recently?

I just got one back, which I thought had been resolved. Could be that I had reported it more than once because the issue was fixed. Seems that the teams that handles Maps reported errors is flushing their system. Which I say is a good thing!

I received one of those auto-responses to say they received the report of your issue.... about 6 months after I reported the issue.  Then 2 days later I received a "You were right, we'll fix it".
